Body parts are considered as small units or entities in themselves, and not as a part of the larger machinery called ‘the body’. These small entities function and get effected by the manual processes of ‘technique’. The body is seen as a series of verbs- the doing verbs, each transforming the noun (the name of the body part), and thus giving a new representation to the body, as a site of effects.
